"Air Scare One/ Bloomberg furious"

Obama... come on brother. What were you thinking?! Earlier Monday panicked New Yorkers fled office buildings and crowded the streets as 9/11 was seemingly happening all over again. A 747 with f-16s in tow was buzzing lower Manhattan and the Hudson river today. It turns out it was the back up Air Force One apparently looking for "photo-ops" around "Lady Liberty"(not sure if I'm buying that yet).
The White House released this statement-"Last week, I approved a mission over New York. I take responsibility for that decision," he said. "While federal authorities took the proper steps to notify state and local authorities in New York and New Jersey, its clear that the mission created confusion and disruption. I apologize and take responsibility for any distress that flight caused.
Well, not exactly true buddy. If the proper authorities don't include the mayor of New York and Local police...you didn't contact the "proper authorities". Mayor Bloomberg was irate and rightly so. How is he not notified of this little stunt is beyond me.
